Cap-size drills 21st Oct. 2012 : Will take place at Wellington School from 10 a.m. - 1.00 p.m.  All members who have not previously undertaken this drill should attend.  It is important that you all know what to do if you or someone else capsizes.   Wellington School pool is on the main school site, not in the sports centre.  If you are coming from the A38, follow the road into Wellington .  You will come to a staggered cross roads with traffic lights, turn left into South Street and the school is on your right hand side.  The swimming pool is the building on the far side of the sports pitch.  Please wear light clothing like you would normally row in.  Each person will practise a capsize and do a swimming test consisting of, swimming 100m in light clothing, swimming approximately one width under water and treading water for 5 minutes.  You do not need to be there for the entire session, once you have completed your assessment.
